37th Annual Spring Caminata – 2021

COMMUNITY DAY : SATURDAY APRIL 24TH 12-4PM 2021

Along Beech Creek, and close to the Buffalo National River in Northwest Arkansas, lies almost 400 acres of beautiful, pristine land. It is an ecosystem rich in unique landscapes and unusual natural features, as well as a place of spiritual, recreational and ecological values. Arco Iris Earth Care Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting our Sacred Ozark Wilderness and empowering our community with skills for sustainable living through the education of Indigenous culture.

Every spring, the Grandmothers and community members meet to walk the boundary of the land in a blessing ceremony. We warmly invite you to participate in this spiritual pilgrimage as a way to bless these sacred mountains and receive the many gifts of this beautiful earth. The caminata begins with a 2 mile walk on a primitive trail followed by a potluck style meal. Bring drinking water and wear appropriate hiking clothes and shoes as well as food to share with the table.
